Eucharistic Ministers of Holy Communion

It was July, 2017…  “Do you know Fr. Kilian?” they asked.  Again and again, I was asked that question from the ministers here at SESCC.  Were we going to change how we performed our duties in our ministries, or were we going to continue as we were originally trained?  We soon found Fr Kilian as a warm, outgoing and inquisitive person wanting to know how we performed our ministries. There were some small changes, but nothing major.  But little did we know at the time what challenges lay ahead.

March, 2020 and the start of the COVID lockdown.  Fr. Kilian was a light in the dark days that allowed St. Elizabeth Seton to still offer Mass to anyone that had an internet connection.  We celebrated Mass with only ten people at each Mass, and Father offered a reassuring presence to allow us to rejoice in the Easter Season and beyond.  We moved on to an increased limited attendance at Mass, and Fr Kilian led us to Christmas 2020 by offering five Masses: one on Christmas Eve and four on Christmas Day, so we could offer Mass to as many of our Parishioners as possible.

Fr Kilian is all about spreading the Word of God and encouraging those who serve to be better Catholics.  Our ministries and ministers have been enriched by Fr. Kilian being here at St. Elizabeth Seton.

God Bless
