U.S. Flag Blessing
At the 8:00 am morning Mass on Thursday, September 22nd, Fr. Kilian blessed two American flags that were given to the parish by Pricilla Richie, president of the Women’s Seton Society. The new flags will replace existing ones now in the church and parish hall.
Coffee & Donut Sunday Returns
The long-awaited time to get-together and chat while holding a sweet luscious donut and a refreshing cup of coffee is Back! So, maybe a donut is not the highest definition of healthy eating, but anyone can have one now and then. Donut Sunday is more than the donut, it’s the camaraderie! The Knights of Columbus are sponsoring the event on the second Sunday of every month starting November 13th after the 9 and 11 am masses. So, show your support and stop by after mass to say hello to your friends, and indulge!

SES CRUISE-IN; FEBURARY 18, 2023

First car show cruise-in at St. Elizabeth Seton

Plans are in the works for our first cruise-in Car Show blessing and viewing on Saturday, February, 18, 2023 from 9-11 am. Bring your car, truck, cycle, golf cart, whatever has wheels and an engine. All vehicles will be blessed. More to come.

Blessing of the Animals

On Saturday, October 8, a number of St. Elizabeth Seton parishioners, along with their pets, gathered in the church courtyard for the Blessing of the Animals annual ceremony. This beautiful tradition honors St. Francis of Assisi, the patron saint of animals and the environment, and celebrates the special bond between people and their beloved companion animals. Father Kilian McCaffrey, St. Elizabeth Seton’s parish Pastor, officiated at the ceremony and was assisted by Steve Raml, Liturgy and Music Director. Four-legged friends included all different breeds and sizes of dogs who outnumbered the four lovely felines taking part in the event. “I wanted my dog blessed because he has been such a blessing in my life,” a parishioner shared, a sentiment the human attendees all seemed to have in common.

Women’s Seton Society Holds Annual Bazaar

On October 29th, as the fall weather arrives and with the thought of the holiday’s ahead, it was the perfect time for the Annual Seton Society Bazaar. Thanks to the donations of our parishioners, many quality items such as those for the household, various plants, and even a choice selection of Santa’s were there for the smart consumer. Also, an array of baked goods tempted many not to worry about the calories but rather to indulge themselves with delights. Hot food was also available for those who built-up an appetite while shopping. The Bazaar ran for two days October 29th-30th with all proceeds going to the parish. We thank the women who participated to make this year’s bazaar a true success.

Parish Updates

The parish continues to freshen the church. Last issue we showcased the offices that are now a welcoming presence for all that enter. We welcome Frank and Jason M, our newest additions to our parish work force. With the approval of Fr. Kilian, Jason applied a new coat of paint in the vestibule area. Now with the vestibule of the church a nice white, it is a more prominent place for St. Elizabeth Seton’s statue, which has been moved to the west entrance. Jason, by the way, our new part-time maintenance man, is also a professional painter, so more surprises will come your way from his excellent work.

As the heat diminishes and the fall weather is here, it is the time to do some outside maintenance around the campus. Already completed are the lights that now have led light bulb replacements.
The parking lot is undergoing a resurfacing. Fr. Kilian reported that 60 percent of the lot will be done between November 7th-10th.The rest will be seal coated at a later date.
