From Chalice Apostolate Ministry

Dear Fr. Kilian,

I want to thank you for the support you always gave to the “Chalice Apostolate Ministry”. You had a special way of blessing the people receiving the chalice with reverence and gratitude for accepting this mission.  The prayers for an increase and perseverance of vocations is so needed in our church.

Those that have taken the chalice have experienced a peaceful blessing in their homes. There are a few parishioners who find the Chalice hard to give up. The person or family that receives the Chalice feels like they are being commissioned to do a very important job. Prayer changes hearts. I like to think that prayers from others helped you choose the vocation to the priesthood. Maybe it’s even our own heart that is changed when we pray for such an important ministry.

Praying for vocations is the most powerful way to support vocations. A vocation is a call from the Holy Spirit, a gift from God that is nurtured in prayer. When we pray for vocations, we lift up those men whom God is calling to follow Him in a very special way. Thank you for saying “Yes” to His call and encouraging us to pray for others’ vocations.

Blessings, Rachel Ruby
