The Knights of Columbus (K of C) is a global Catholic fraternal service order founded in 1882 by Blessed Michael McGivney to support members’ families. The organization unites Catholic men and encourages us to live our faith by always placing Jesus first as we provide service to our church, community, and family. Our core principles are charity, unity, fraternity and patriotism and we recently had a remarkable opportunity to serve by these principles.
After opening our recent meeting in November, following a recitation of the most Holy Rosary, Grand Knight Robin Clark invited our local Counsel #12144 to energize in spirit with Blessed Michel McGivney to respond to a Sisters of Life donation request from Sister Bethany. Her outreach to help a mother supporting her five-children resonated with the K of C members, and using several of our funds we were able to donate just under $2,000 to the Sisters of Life to distribute according to their needs.
Also, during our recent November meeting, Grand Knight Robin Clark was awarded a Double-Star Award on behalf of Supreme Knight Patrick Kelly, State Deputy Kevin McCarthy, and all the state officers including District Deputy Wayne Lorenzana.
Wayne stated “Robin has led us in reaching out to men [who] can impact us by bringing us closer to Christ and building up the body of Christ as a church. Robin continues to lead us in finding men, finding programs, and finding ways to help build up our church.”
Additional upcoming programs led by the Knights of Columbus are Car Seats for Christ on December 13 and 14, a blood drive on January 11, 2026, and a baby bottle drive on April 11 and 12, 2026.
Vivat Jesus!
